Hello! My name is Aaliah Joseph, and I hail from the vibrant Essequibo Coast, specifically 21 Zorg in the Pomeroon-Supenaam region. Surrounded by the rich beauty of our landscapes, from the lush rainforests to the winding rivers, I find inspiration in the natural environment that defines our home. Growing up here, I have developed a deep appreciation for the cultural heritage of Guyana, which is reflected in our diverse music, art, and, of course, our beloved food. Whether it's savoring a plate of pepperpot on Christmas morning or gathering with family for a cook-up, these moments are the essence of my Guyanese identity.
In addition to embracing our local cuisine, I am passionate about connecting with the Guyanese diaspora.
