Hello! I’m Abdool Khalil, a proud Guyanese joiner hailing from the vibrant community of East Bank Essequibo, specifically 10 Old Road Zeelugt in the Pomeroon-Supenaam region. My journey as a craftsman has not only shaped my skills but also deepened my connection to our rich culture and heritage. Growing up surrounded by the lush landscapes and waterways of Guyana, I’ve been influenced by the diverse traditions and flavors, from the warmth of a good dhal puri to the sweetness of fresh pineapple – have you ever tried it with salt? In my work, I strive to bring a piece of our beautiful land into every project. Whether it's creating custom furniture or working on community structures, I aim to reflect the spirit of resilience and creativity that defines our people. I take pride in the local craftsmanship and the stories that come with it, much like the tales from the Lower Pom River Hoobodie Settlement or the history of Myrie Island at the Pomeroon River.
