Greetings! My name is Abdool Nadir, and I am proud to call the Essequibo Coast my home, specifically in the vibrant Pomeroon-Supenaam region. As a dedicated farmer, I work the fertile lands that have sustained generations of my family, cultivating crops that not only nourish our local community but also connect us to the rich culinary traditions of Guyana. From sweet cassava to aromatic rice, every harvest is a testament to the hard work and resilience of our people.
Growing up among the lush landscapes and the flowing Pomeroon River, I have always felt a deep bond with nature and my community. Guyana's diverse culture is reflected in our celebrations, our music, and of course, our food. Whether it’s sharing a hearty plate of pepperpot during the holidays or enjoying fresh bake and shark by the coast, these moments with family and friends are what truly enrich my life. I am also deeply aware of our global diaspora and the pride we hold for our heritage, from notable figures like Janet Jagan to the everyday stories of our people that weave us together no matter where we are.
