Growing up in Guyana, I’ve been deeply influenced by the warmth of our diverse culture, the aroma of spicy curry, and the sweet taste of fresh mangoes during the monsoon season. I love sharing stories of my childhood adventures along the Pomeroon River and savoring traditional dishes like pepperpot and metemgee with my family. These experiences connect me to my roots and remind me of the rich tapestry of life in our unique landscape.
As a member of the Guyanese diaspora, I cherish the bonds we share, whether through reminiscing about the sights of Waiwaro Creek or celebrating events that keep our culture alive, even miles away.
