Hello! I’m Abiola Elliott, a proud constable from the vibrant community of Essequibo, specifically in Lookout, East Bank of Pomeroon-Supenaam. Growing up in this beautiful region, I have always been surrounded by the lush landscapes and rich traditions that define our Guyanese culture. From the sweet sounds of the festival music to the tantalizing aroma of our beloved cook-up rice, every aspect of my upbringing has instilled in me a deep appreciation for the heritage that binds us all together.
As I serve in my role as a constable, I remain committed to fostering safety and harmony in our neighborhoods. Whether it’s engaging with local families or participating in community events, I strive to uphold the values of respect and unity that are so intrinsic to our culture. I often draw strength from the connections we share, whether reminiscing about the Pomeroon River or the stories of our ancestors who paved the way for our vibrant diaspora.
Outside of work, you can find me enjoying the rich flavors of our local cuisine or participating in community gatherings where we celebrate our diverse backgrounds.
