Hello! I’m Abrams Gordon, a proud miner hailing from Wakenaam Maria's Pleasure in the beautiful Pomeroon-Supenaam region of Guyana. Growing up surrounded by the lush landscapes and vibrant culture of my homeland, I’ve developed a deep appreciation for the rich heritage and traditions that define us as Guyanese. As a Guyanese, I take immense pride in our flavorful cuisine, especially the unique twist we put on fruits like pineapple, often seasoned with salt, pepper, and a dash of vinegar. Each meal is a reminder of the warmth and hospitality that our culture embodies. Our community is also known for its love of cricket, where the best players come from our homeland, echoing our spirit of excellence. And of course, I cherish the connections with fellow Guyanese, both locally and in the diaspora, who carry the essence of our roots wherever they go.
In my downtime, I enjoy sharing stories about our stunning landmarks, from the majestic Kaieteur Falls to the serene waterways that inspired the Amerindians to name our land "the land of many waters." As I continue my work in mining, I look forward to fostering connections that celebrate our heritage and showcasing the beauty of Guyana to the world.
