As a resident of the 15 Old Road De Kinderen area, I am deeply connected to our local landmarks, whether it’s the serene views along the Pomeroon River or the bustling markets that bring together everyone from the diaspora to those who have never left. I often reminisce about the days spent at the Dimond rum distillery or catching up with friends decked out in their UAPB shirts, celebrating our achievements and supporting one another. These experiences not only highlight the beauty of our home but also strengthen our bonds with the Guyanese community, both near and far.
