Hello! My name is Aftaab Baksh, and I proudly call the beautiful Essequibo region of Guyana my home. Nestled in the Pomeroon-Supenaam area, I have deep roots in this vibrant community, where the rivers flow with stories of our ancestors and the land is rich with diverse cultures. As a labourer, I work hard to contribute to my family and community, while also embracing the warmth and resilience that defines our people.

I often reminisce about our gatherings by the Pom River, where friends and family unite, sharing laughter and delicious food. Despite the challenges we face, such as the recent developments in our oil industry that seem to favor others, my spirit remains unbreakable, and I cherish the connections we maintain both locally and in the diaspora.
