Greetings! My name is Ahamad Badshaw, and I proudly call C Maryville Leguan in the Pomeroon-Supenaam region of Guyana my home. Growing up here, I have developed a deep appreciation for our vibrant local culture, from the rich flavors of our culinary delights like pepperpot and cook-up rice to the breathtaking beauty of our natural landscapes, including the serene Pomeroon River. Each day, I find joy in the simple pleasures of life, whether it’s sharing a meal with family or exploring the lush greenery that surrounds us.
As a resident deeply connected to my roots, I cherish the sense of community that defines our way of life. The warmth of our people and the strong ties we maintain, even across borders, remind me of the strength of the Guyanese diaspora.
