Hello! My name is Airfaan Rasool, and I proudly hail from the beautiful Essequibo Coast, specifically Richmond Housing in Pomeroon-Supenaam. As a dedicated vulcanizer, I take pride in ensuring that vehicles run smoothly on the diverse roads of our beloved Guyana. When I’m not at work, you can often find me enjoying the local delicacies, like a hearty plate of pepperpot or fresh fish and bake, which remind me of the rich culinary traditions that celebrate our culture and heritage.
Growing up in a vibrant community, I’ve come to appreciate the strength and resilience of Guyanese people, especially as we navigate our unique place in the world. The connection to our homeland runs deep, whether it’s through sharing stories of Essequibo’s lush landscapes, or the spirited debates about our borders, as seen in discussions about the Essequibo region. Our diaspora community often reminds us of the importance of understanding and valuing our history, as well as the pride we share in being Guyanese.
