Growing up in Guyana, I've always felt a strong connection to our history as part of the British West Indies. Although we sometimes feel isolated by dense tropical bush, our hearts are tied to the Caribbean. Just like many of my fellow Guyanese, I find pride in our uniqueness—our traditions, our music, and our indomitable spirit. Whether it’s celebrating Mashramani or simply enjoying a day at the Georgetown Seawall, our culture is alive and thriving.
