Hello! I’m Aklima Boodwah, a proud resident of Vriesland on the West Bank of Demerara in the beautiful Essequibo Islands-West Demerara region. Growing up in Guyana, I’ve had the privilege of immersing myself in our vibrant culture, rich history, and the warmth of our community. As a lover of Guyanese cuisine, there’s nothing quite like sharing a plate of pepperpot or enjoying a festive cook-up rice with family and friends.
