Hello! Iām Alana Williams, a proud housewife residing on the beautiful Essequibo Coast in Mc Nabb Mainstay, Pomeroon-Supenaam. Guyana, with its lush landscapes and vibrant culture, has always been home to me. From the breathtaking views at Kaieteur Falls to the serenity of the Essequibo River, I find joy in the natural wonders that surround us. I enjoy spending my days cooking traditional dishes like pepperpot and metemgee, bringing the rich flavors of our culture to my family table.
As part of a diverse community, I cherish our unique blend of Afro-Guyanese and Indo-Guyanese traditions, which are reflected in our food, music, and celebrations. We are a community that embraces our heritage, celebrating events like Mashramani with pride and unity. I often reminisce about the lively conversations with neighbors about our favorite spots, like the iconic Pomeroon River and Yaramai Creek, where we create cherished memories with family and friends.
Though I spend much of my time at home, I stay connected with our diaspora through social media, sharing experiences with fellow Guyanese around the world. I believe that every story shared strengthens our bond and highlights our unique identity as Guyanese people. Pomeroon-Supenaam lies on the Atlantic coast northwest of Georgetown. Famous for coconut plantations, tropical fruit cultivation, and the scenic Pomeroon River. Anna Regina serves as the regional capital.
