Hello! My name is Albert Murray, and I am a proud farmer residing on the Essequibo Coast in Pomeroon-Supenaam. Growing up surrounded by the lush landscapes and vibrant communities of Guyana has deeply influenced my life and work. The rich, fertile soils of our region produce an abundance of local crops, from cassava to plantains, which I take great pride in cultivating. As a farmer, I am not only dedicated to sustaining my family but also to contributing to the local economy and preserving our agricultural heritage.
Living in the heart of Guyana means I am always connected to the rhythms of our culture. It warms my heart to hear from friends abroad how they miss the vibrancy of Guyanese food and culture, as they reminisce about their visits to the markets in Georgetown and beyond.
