Hello! I’m Albert Da Silva, a proud farmer from the serene Pom River Grant Burn Bush Lower in the beautiful Pomeroon-Supenaam region of Guyana. My roots run deep in this lush land where the Pomeroon River flows, and it’s a joy to cultivate the rich soil that has nourished generations of my family. Here, we grow a variety of crops, from plantains to cassava, and I enjoy sharing the fruits of my labor with my community and beyond.
Living near the vibrant waters of the Pomeroon River allows me to connect with nature in a special way. I often reminisce about the days spent exploring the nearby River Kamandankaro and enjoying the local cuisine, especially the savory dishes made with fresh catch from our rivers. There's nothing quite like a hearty meal of pepper pot accompanied by some freshly baked bread to bring folks together. The flavors of our land are a reflection of our diverse culture, and I take pride in preserving our culinary traditions.
