Hello! I’m Alex Bepat, a proud resident of Coast Noc Onderneeming in the vibrant Pomeroon-Supenaam region of Guyana. Growing up along the Upper Pomeroon River, I’ve always been surrounded by the lush beauty of our landscapes and the rich cultural heritage that defines our community. From the aroma of fresh curry and the sweet notes of our famous Demerara sugar to the laughter shared at community gatherings, my roots run deep in this beautiful land.
As a Guyanese, I take immense pride in our local delicacies, from pepperpot at Christmas to the ever-popular roti and curry that grace our tables year-round. I often find myself reminiscing about family gatherings where we share stories and delicious meals, embodying the warmth and spirit of our culture. Living here means I’m always just a stone's throw away from places like the Dimond rum distillery, a gem worth visiting for anyone curious about our traditions.
My journey has also led me to connect with the Guyanese diaspora, both near and far. It’s heartening to see fellow Guyanese reminiscing about home, whether it’s through tasty food recommendations or sharing fond childhood memories.
