Hello! My name is Alexander Seaforth, and I proudly call Bank Essequibo my home, right along the vibrant Parika Main Road. As a dedicated vendor, I enjoy not only serving my community but also showcasing the rich flavors and culture of Guyana. Nothing brings me more joy than sharing a plate of pepper pot with cassava bread, especially during the festive season when families gather to celebrate. Food is a central part of our culture, and I strive to keep our culinary heritage alive in everything I do.
Growing up in Guyana, I've witnessed the stark contrasts between different communities. Despite the challenges, the resilience and spirit of the Guyanese people shine through. Our country is blessed with natural beauty, from the lush landscapes of the Pomeroon to the vibrant energy of Georgetown. As a member of the diaspora, I feel a deep connection to my roots, and I often reflect on how our stories and experiences shape our identity, whether we’re here at home or abroad.
