Hello! I’m Ali Shaw, a proud Guyanese from the beautiful Pomeroon-Supenaam region. Born and raised amidst the lush landscapes and vibrant cultures of Guyana, I have always carried my roots with me, no matter where life takes me. While some may think of Guyana as merely a part of South America, I know it as a unique blend of indigenous, African, East Indian, and Chinese influences that shape our rich culinary traditions and warm community spirit.
One of my greatest joys is sharing the taste of home with others. From the mouthwatering pepperpot to the delectable cook-up rice, Guyanese cuisine is a reflection of our diverse heritage. We have breathtaking waterfalls, like Kaieteur Falls, and a vibrant culture that deserves to be explored and appreciated.
