Hello! I’m Ali Shaw, a proud son of Guyana, currently residing in the beautiful Pomeroon-Supenaam region. Growing up surrounded by the lush landscapes and vibrant communities of our country, I've developed a deep appreciation for Guyanese culture. Whether it's savoring a plate of pepperpot during the holidays or enjoying a sweet treat of coconut ginger cake, the flavors of our cuisine remind me of home and the warm gatherings we share as a community.
Having experienced life both in Guyana and abroad, I understand the unique connection we, as members of the diaspora, maintain with our homeland. I often reminisce about the lively streets of Georgetown, where each corner is a mingling of cultures, sounds, and histories. From the famous landmarks like the St. George’s Cathedral to the serene beauty of the Kaieteur Falls, my heart is still firmly rooted in this beautiful land, no matter where I go.
