Hello! I’m Alishaw Khan, a proud resident of Essequibo, nestled in the heart of Pomeroon-Supenaam. Growing up in the vibrant surroundings of the 900 Block 8 New Housing area has shaped my deep appreciation for our rich culture and heritage. From savoring the mouthwatering flavors of pepperpot during the holidays to sharing stories under the stars on the banks of the Pomeroon River, I’m grateful for the community that has shaped me. My roots run deep in our traditions, and I find joy in celebrating the diverse cultures that make Guyana so unique.
Living in Essequibo means being close to some of our country’s most beautiful landmarks, like the stunning Shell Beach and the lush rainforests that host our incredible wildlife.
