Hello! I’m Alleiyah Charles, proud resident of Essequibo 3 Grove on the East Bank of Pomeroon-Supenaam. Growing up amidst the lush greenery and vibrant waterways of Guyana has instilled in me a deep appreciation for our rich culture and heritage. From the comforting aroma of cook-up rice simmering in the pot to the sweet taste of a homemade cassava bread, food is a true centerpiece of our community and a reminder of the flavors that connect us all.
As a member of the Guyanese diaspora, I cherish the connections I’ve made with fellow Afroguyanese, sharing stories of our experiences both here and abroad.
