My name is Allie Baksh, and I’m a proud shopkeeper residing on the picturesque Essequibo Coast of Guyana, right on the bustling 49 Public Road in Cotton, Pomeroon-Supenaam. Growing up amidst the vibrant sounds of the river Kamadankoro Koria and the lush landscapes, I've always been inspired by the rich cultural heritage that defines our nation. Guyana's diversity, from the spicy aromas of our local dishes like pepperpot to the warm camaraderie of our communities, fills my shop with the heart and soul of our people.
As a first-generation member of the diaspora, I carry the essence of Guyanese culture with me wherever I go. You might hear me sharing stories of our iconic landmarks—like the serene River Bat Creek Karawab or the lively markets of Georgetown—while offering a taste of home through some of my favorite items.
