Hello! My name is Alvorn Wilson, and I proudly call River Saxacalli in the Essequibo region of Pomeroon-Supenaam my home. Growing up surrounded by the lush greenery and vibrant waterways of Guyana, I have developed a deep appreciation for our rich culture and heritage. Whether it’s enjoying a plate of pepperpot on Christmas morning or gathering with family to celebrate Mashramani, these traditions are the heartbeat of our community.
As a resident of the Pomeroon-Supenaam district, I have witnessed the transformation of our landscape and economy firsthand, especially with the burgeoning oil industry. There is an undeniable excitement in the air, as many of us look forward to the possibilities that lie ahead. Pomeroon-Supenaam lies on the Atlantic coast northwest of Georgetown. Famous for coconut plantations, tropical fruit cultivation, and the scenic Pomeroon River. Anna Regina serves as the regional capital.
