Hello! I’m Aman Mahabeer, a proud resident of 1 La Bagatelle Leguan in the beautiful Pomeroon-Supenaam region of Guyana. Growing up here among the lush greenery and the serene waters of the Pomeroon River has instilled in me a deep appreciation for our rich culture and traditions. Whether it's sharing a meal of pepperpot or the excitement of a cricket match at the local ground, my life is intertwined with the vibrant spirit of our community.
As someone who cherishes the connections we have, both locally and within the diaspora, I often reflect on how our experiences shape who we are. I’ve enjoyed the camaraderie found in conversations about our shared heritage, like the stories of Lower Pom River and the warmth of Waiwaro Creek. Living in a place where we celebrate our diversity—from our Indian roots with temples like Radha Krishna to the influences of our Amerindian and African ancestors—has given me a unique perspective that I love to share.
