Greetings from Essequibo! My name is Amanda Lall, and I’m a proud housewife living in the vibrant community of 746 Block 8 New Housing in Pomeroon-Supenaam. As a lifelong resident of Guyana, my heart beats to the rhythm of our lush landscapes and rich culture. Whether I’m preparing a hearty meal of pepperpot or delicious cook-up rice for my family, I find joy in sharing our culinary traditions, which are as diverse as our people. Living in Essequibo, I am surrounded by the natural beauty of our rivers and forests, and I often reflect on the importance of preserving our environment. I feel deeply for those who have immigrated and are away from our beloved shores.
