Greetings! My name is Amanda Thomas, and I proudly call the beautiful Essequibo Coast home. Nestled along the serene banks of the Pomeroon River, my roots are deeply entwined with the vibrant culture and rich history of Guyana. Here, the rhythm of life flows like the mighty rivers, from River Macrapana Island to the bustling markets of St. Monica. My days are filled with the flavors of our beloved cuisine, like the mouthwatering duck curry from Jackdaw's, a true culinary gem beloved by locals and visitors alike.
As a resident of 40 Sand Pit Road, I cherish not only the stunning landscapes but also the warmth of our community. Guyana's cultural diversity is a source of pride, and I’ve always felt a strong connection to our local traditions, whether it’s celebrating CARICOM Day or enjoying a simple gathering with friends over a plate of POM.
