From the lush greenery of our rivers, like the River Ticanali, to the warmth of my neighbors, I draw inspiration from the beauty that surrounds me.
Growing up in Guyana, I have a deep appreciation for our local cuisine—nothing beats a delicious pepper roti after a long day of work! Whether it’s sharing meals with family or enjoying the lively atmosphere of our markets, food plays a central role in our culture and brings us together. I take pride in sharing these experiences with others, especially those in the diaspora who carry our traditions beyond our shores.
