Greetings! My name is Amragh Abdool, and I proudly hail from the vibrant community of Pomeroon-Supenaam in beautiful Guyana. As a labourer, I dedicate my days to contributing to the growth of our beloved land, immersed in the rich traditions and values that define our culture. Guyana, with its lush landscapes and the majestic Pomeroon River, has shaped who I am. From the sweet taste of a well-prepared pepperpot to the colourful celebrations during Mashramani, every aspect of our culture resonates deeply within me.

I often reflect on the strength of our community; we come together, whether in Canada or elsewhere, celebrating our roots and the unique blend of cultures that make us who we are. It's heartwarming to hear fellow Guyanese say, “Essequibo is Guyana and will always be,” a reminder of our shared identity and pride.
Living in this beautiful landscape, I find inspiration in our natural wonders, like the serene River Waramuri Island and the vibrant local markets. Each day, I strive to honour the spirit of Guyana, fostering connections with my neighbours and embracing the warmth of our culture. Whether at a local gathering or through connections made online, I carry the heart of Guyana with me, forever proud of my heritage and the community that shaped me.
