Hello! I'm Anant Prashad, and I proudly call Hall Essequibo Coast my home. Nestled in the beautiful Pomeroon-Supenaam region, my roots run deep in the vibrant culture and traditions of Guyana. Whether it's enjoying a sunny day by the Essequibo River or savoring a warm bowl of pepperpot made with beef (none of that labba nonsense!), I cherish the flavors and experiences that make our homeland unique.
As someone who has witnessed the rich diversity of our people, I take pride in our community's unity. From River Grant to the bustling streets of Georgetown, the spirit of togetherness resonates through every aspect of our lives. I often reminisce about my time in Trinidad, where I was reminded that while I may be Guyanese, the love for our food—like shrimp doubles with tamarind and hot pepper sauce—never fades, no matter the distance!
Through my journey, I hope to share the beauty and resilience of Guyanese culture with the world. Whether it's connecting with fellow Guyanese in the diaspora or welcoming friends to try some of our delicious dishes, I'm excited to create lasting memories and celebrate our heritage.
Pomeroon-Supenaam lies on the Atlantic coast northwest of Georgetown. Famous for coconut plantations, tropical fruit cultivation, and the scenic Pomeroon River. Anna Regina serves as the regional capital.
