Hello! My name is Andrew Ramroop, and I proudly call Essequibo my home. Nestled in the heart of the vibrant Pomeroon-Supenaam region, our community is steeped in rich traditions and warm hospitality. Growing up here, I’ve always cherished the simple joys of life, from sharing a plate of curry duck and rice with family to enjoying a refreshing glass of mauby on a hot day. The lush greenery and winding waterways that define our landscape remind me daily of why we refer to Guyana as the "land of many waters."
As a resident of the New Housing Scheme, I have seen the spirit of our community evolve while holding tight to our roots. We are known for our friendliness, particularly in the countryside, where relationships flourish over shared meals and laughter. Although life in the city can sometimes feel fast-paced, it’s the connections with my neighbors that bring warmth to everyday life.
