Hello! My name is Andrew Domingo, and I am a proud Guyanese farmer from the beautiful Pomeroon-Supenaam region. Surrounded by the lush greenery and vibrant landscapes of the Essequibo coast, my work is a reflection of the rich agricultural heritage that Guyana is known for. Whether I’m tending to my crops or sharing stories with fellow farmers, I carry the spirit of my homeland in every endeavor.
Growing up in Guyana, I developed a deep appreciation for our diverse culture, from the tantalizing flavors of cook-up rice and pepperpot to the lively rhythms of our folk music. I also cherish the sense of community among the Guyanese diaspora, where connections stretch from New York to London. You might hear someone say, “Aye, I is a Guyanese,” and instantly feel at home, no matter where you are. Our shared experiences foster a unique bond that transcends borders.
As I continue my journey, I hope to promote not just the agricultural practices of my region but also the beautiful friendships between our diverse ethnic backgrounds.
