Hello! I’m Andy Persaud, a proud resident of the Essequibo Coast, nestled 65 east of the Public Road in the vibrant Pomeroon-Supenaam region. Growing up surrounded by the lush beauty of our rivers, like the Yacouri and the serene Akawini, I’ve developed a deep appreciation for the natural wonders that define our homeland. From the bustling markets filled with fresh local produce to the rich flavors of our beloved dishes like pepperpot and roti, my heart beats in tune with the rhythms of Guyanese life.
As a member of the Guyanese diaspora, I cherish the connections I share with fellow expatriates, whether reminiscing about our old haunts or discussing the vibrant culture that binds us.
