Hello! I’m Aneisa Tulsiieram, a proud resident of the vibrant Pomeroon-Supenaam region, specifically from 137 Block 8 New Housing. Growing up in this beautiful part of Guyana, I’ve been surrounded by the lush landscapes of the Pomeroon River and the rich culture that defines our nation. From the tantalizing aromas of our local delicacies—like pepperpot and cook-up rice—to the warm smiles of my neighbors, every day is a reminder of the unique experiences that shape us as Guyanese.
As someone who has witnessed the beauty of our home, I often reflect on how we, as a community, strive to make the most of our resources. Many of us, including myself, share the hope that the potential from our oilfields and gold mines will lead to meaningful change for our people. I’m also proud to engage with the diaspora, hearing stories of those who’ve ventured abroad yet still crave the delicious Chinese food that’s hard to find outside of Guyana—talk about holding a Tsingtao and reminiscing!
When I’m not enjoying the local cuisine or participating in community events, I love exploring the natural wonders that surround us, from the serene Burada Island to the vibrant markets where one can find everything from fresh produce to handmade crafts.
