Greetings! I’m Angelina Dos Ramos, a proud housekeeper residing in the vibrant community of East Bank Essequibo, specifically on the 23 Old Road, Pomeroon-Supenaam. My roots run deep in this beautiful land, where the Pomeroon River flows and connects our stories, much like the tales shared over a warm plate of cook-up rice and freshly caught fish. Growing up in Guyana, I’ve learned the importance of family, tradition, and the rich culture we celebrate, especially during festivals like Mashramani and Phagwa, where the colors and rhythms of our heritage come alive.
Living away from home, I carry with me the flavors and warmth of Guyana. I often reminisce about the bustling markets of Georgetown and the serene landscapes of places like St. Monica and Lower Pomeroon River. These memories remind me of the resilience of our people and the beauty that surrounds us, from the lush mangroves to the vibrant communities that make up our diaspora.
