Welcome! My name is Angeline Prshad, and I proudly call 33 La Bagatelle, Leguan in the Pomeroon-Supenaam region of Guyana my home. Growing up surrounded by the lush landscapes, vibrant communities, and rich cultural heritage of my homeland has deeply influenced who I am today. From the rhythmic sounds of our traditional music to the mouthwatering aroma of a fresh cook-up rice, every aspect of Guyanese life resonates within me. I have seen my home flourish, and I am excited to be part of a growing global community that cherishes our Caribbean roots.
As a resident of Leguan, I am passionate about sharing our local delicacies, such as pepperpot and metemgee, as well as the beautiful sights of the Pomeroon River. The warmth of our people and the spirit of togetherness are what make our culture truly unique. Living in a community where everyone knows each other fosters a sense of belonging that transcends borders. I often connect with fellow Guyanese in the diaspora, exchanging stories and celebrating our diverse backgrounds—from the East Indian influences to the African and Indigenous heritage that intertwines beautifully in our everyday lives.
