Greetings! My name is Ann Sookhai, and I proudly call the Essequibo Coast my home, specifically along 29 Region Street Anna in Pomeroon-Supenaam. As a dedicated sweeper, I take pride in keeping our beautiful community clean and vibrant, reflecting the rich culture of Guyana. Whether it's the lush landscapes or the sweet sounds of the local dialect, I feel deeply connected to my roots and the traditions that have shaped our way of life.
Growing up in a diverse and colorful environment, I cherish the flavors of our local cuisine, especially dishes like pepperpot that remind me of family gatherings. The essence of our culture is also captured in the stories shared by my neighbors, from the tales of Kaider Falls to the warmth of Lower Pom River Hackney Canal. It's these connections that unite us, even when many of us find ourselves far from home in the diaspora.

Pomeroon-Supenaam lies on the Atlantic coast northwest of Georgetown. Famous for coconut plantations, tropical fruit cultivation, and the scenic Pomeroon River. Anna Regina serves as the regional capital.
