Hello! I'm Annila Persaud, a dedicated teacher living in the vibrant community of Pomeroon-Supenaam, Guyana. Growing up surrounded by the lush landscapes and rich cultures of my homeland, I've developed a deep appreciation for our diverse heritage—from the sweet taste of pepperpot during festive occasions to the beautiful sounds of traditional tassa music that echo through our streets. As someone who loves to share and connect, I often invite my students to discover the significance of our local landmarks, like the breathtaking Mainstay Lake, fondly known as “Coco Cola Lake” for its unique color.
My passion for education goes hand-in-hand with my love for Guyana's evolving narrative.
