Hello! I’m Anson Azeez, a proud resident of Lodge Essequibo Coast, nestled in the heart of Pomeroon-Supenaam. Growing up surrounded by the lush greenery and vibrant culture of Guyana, I carry with me the warmth of our communities, the rhythm of our folk music, and the delightful flavors of our beloved dishes like pepperpot and metemgee. As a member of the Guyanese diaspora, I find joy in connecting with others who share my love for our homeland, whether it be through conversations about our stunning landscapes like the Kaieteur Falls or reminiscing over the unique pronunciations of our local place names. I often chuckle along with friends when we hear mispronunciations of our rivers and towns, just like Barby’s unforgettable attempt at "Barrteeka"!
