Greetings! My name is Aphieona Bailey, and I am proud to call the vibrant community of Pomeroon-Supenaam my home. Nestled along the picturesque Pomeroon River, our region is rich in culture and history, where the rhythms of daily life are often accompanied by the sounds of local music and the delicious aroma of traditional dishes like pepperpot and metemgee wafting through the air. Growing up here, I have been fortunate to experience the warmth of our people and the beauty of our natural surroundings, from the lush greenery to the bustling markets filled with fresh produce.
As a resident on Coast 01 Public Road West, I have developed a deep appreciation for the diverse heritage that defines Guyana. Whether it's celebrating Mashramani with friends and family or gathering for community events, I cherish the moments that bring us together. I also take pride in acknowledging the achievements of our local legends, such as Ramnaresh Sarwan and Shivnarine Chanderpaul, whose contributions to cricket resonate not only in our hearts but also among the Guyanese diaspora around the world.
