Growing up along the lush banks of the Pomeroon River, I've developed a deep appreciation for our rich culture and warm community. From the aroma of fresh cook-up rice to the lively sounds of our markets, every aspect of life here reminds me of the simple joys we share as Guyanese. My father, who was born in 1932, often shares stories of our ancestors and their resilience, which inspires me to honor our heritage.
