Having spent time in the diaspora, I’ve experienced the warmth of our Guyanese community, even in places like New York City. It’s heartening to connect with fellow Guyanese who share stories of our homeland, whether it’s reminiscing about a trip to Berbice or discussing the vibrant flavors of our traditional dishes that simply cannot be replicated abroad.
