Hello! I'm Ariano Gordon, a proud Guyanese technician hailing from the Pomeroon-Supenaam region. Growing up surrounded by the lush landscapes and rich cultures of Guyana, I’ve always felt a deep connection to my roots. My childhood was filled with the vibrant sounds of the Pomeroon River and community gatherings where we celebrated our traditions, from the spicy flavors of pepperpot during Christmas to the sweet taste of homemade guyanese black cake. These experiences have shaped who I am today.
As a member of the diaspora, I cherish sharing the beauty of Guyana with others. Whether it's discussing our diverse heritage, like the influence of our Muslim and Hindu communities, or sharing stories of places like Myrie Island and Basha Bay, I take pride in representing my homeland. I often reminisce about the connections made over hearty meals and laughter, which continue to strengthen our bonds, no matter where we are in the world.
Though I currently work as a technician, my heart remains in Guyana. I aim to keep our culture alive, sharing its vibrancy with everyone I meet. From the bustling streets of Georgetown to the serene banks of the Pomeroon River, I believe that every Guyanese story has the power to inspire and connect us all.
