Welcome! I’m Arif Ullah, a pharmacist based in the beautiful Pomeroon-Supenaam region, specifically at 14 Public Road Reliance. Growing up in Guyana, I enjoyed a rich childhood filled with the vibrant colors and sounds of our culture. From the lush landscapes to the warmth of our communities, every corner of this country holds a special memory for me. Although many of my childhood friends have sought opportunities abroad, particularly in Canada, my heart remains firmly rooted here, where I cherish the spirit of camaraderie and love that defines us as Guyanese.
As a proud Guyanese, I celebrate our diverse heritage, reflected in our food, traditions, and language. Whether it’s sharing a plate of spicy pepperpot or savoring sweet black cake during the holidays, I believe that food is a powerful way to connect with our roots. I often reminisce about family gatherings where laughter filled the air, and stories of past generations inspired us. It's these moments that remind me of our shared identity, encapsulated perfectly in the saying, "One People, One Love." I carry this spirit with me in my work, striving to make a positive impact in my community.
Being part of the Guyanese diaspora, I also understand the challenges many face, including the political landscape and economic hurdles. Despite these difficulties, there’s a palpable optimism as we witness the potential for growth and development in our homeland.
