Hello! I’m Arjune Latchman, a proud resident of the beautiful Regina Essequibo Coast, located in the vibrant Pomeroon-Supenaam region of Guyana. Growing up amidst the lush landscapes and rich cultural heritage of this area, I’ve always been inspired by the resilience and warmth of our people. From the sweet aroma of cook-up rice simmering on a Sunday afternoon to the vibrant celebrations during Mashramani, every aspect of my upbringing has instilled a deep sense of pride in my Guyanese roots.
Though I now find myself in the diaspora, I remain deeply connected to my homeland. I enjoy sharing experiences and stories about the hidden treasures of Guyana, from the majestic Kaieteur Falls to the unique flavors of our local cuisine, like pepperpot and metemgee. It’s important to me to portray an authentic image of Guyana, especially in a world where perceptions can often be shaped by misinformation. I believe in celebrating our culture while also acknowledging the challenges we face, including the need for transparency and progress in our governance.
