Welcome to my corner of the world! My name is Arlean Singh, and I proudly call Essequibo my home. Nestled in the lush landscape of Pomeroon-Supenaam, my life here is enriched by the vibrant culture and warm community of Guyana. As a housewife, I find joy in nurturing my family, sharing the rich flavors of our local cuisine—from aromatic pepperpot to sweet, spiced black cake—while celebrating our traditions that connect us to both our roots and the diasporic community.
Growing up in this beautiful country, I often reflect on how Guyana, often overlooked on a map, has so much to offer. Like many, I’ve experienced the curiosity of those from other regions, wondering why our stories aren’t as widely told as those of our neighbors. Yet, there's a special pride in being Guyanese, and I’m thrilled to see our culture gaining recognition, whether it’s through discussions about our capital, Georgetown, or the headquarters of CARICOM right here in our land.

Pomeroon-Supenaam lies on the Atlantic coast northwest of Georgetown. Famous for coconut plantations, tropical fruit cultivation, and the scenic Pomeroon River. Anna Regina serves as the regional capital.
