Greetings! I’m Arnold Marks, a proud Guyanese mason based in the beautiful Pomeroon-Supenaam region at 206 Hoppie Street. Growing up on the Essequibo Coast, I’ve been deeply influenced by the vibrant culture and warm community that define our homeland. From the rich flavors of our beloved callaloo to the lively rhythms of our local music, every aspect of life here feeds my passion for craftsmanship and my commitment to serving my community.
As someone who has dedicated my life to the craft of masonry, I take great pride in bringing a piece of Guyana's strength and resilience to every project I undertake. Whether it's building homes that withstand the test of time or creating spaces that bring joy to families, my work is a reflection of the rich heritage we share. I cherish the connection with the diaspora, who carry our stories and traditions around the world, and I strive to represent our culture with every brick I lay.
In my spare time, you can find me reminiscing about my experiences at the West Indian clubs in Queens and Brooklyn, where the sounds of soca and calypso filled the air, or enjoying the stunning sights of our lush landscape. Despite the challenges we face, including the criticisms of our beautiful country, I believe there’s immense beauty and potential in Guyana, and I’m committed to being a part of its positive transformation.
