Welcome! My name is Arshad Reektan, and I’m a proud Guyanese welder based in the vibrant region of Coast Demerara. Growing up near the Pomeroon River, I developed a deep appreciation for the rich natural beauty of my homeland, including the breathtaking Kaieteur Falls, which has long been a source of inspiration for many. While Guyana may often be perceived as economically challenged, the resilience and spirit of its people tell a different story—most families live comfortably, and our local culture thrives on connection and community.
As part of the Guyanese diaspora, I cherish the strong ties that bind us, whether we’re sharing a plate of chickpeas or reminiscing about our childhood adventures along the Essequibo River. I’ve spent many years in Richmond Hill, where I've seen our community come together to support one another.
