Greetings! I am Arvin Sarju, a proud resident of Hall Essequibo Coast, specifically on the Bounty Public Road in the beautiful Pomeroon-Supenaam region of Guyana. Growing up surrounded by the lush landscapes of the Essequibo River and the vibrant culture of our communities, I've developed a deep appreciation for the unique blend of traditions that define our way of life. From the soothing sounds of the river to the tantalizing aromas of our local dishes, like pepperpot and roti, my heart is firmly rooted in this rich soil.
As a member of the Guyanese diaspora, I cherish the connections we share, whether it be through stories of the Lower Pom River or fond memories of the St. Chad's Mission. I find joy in reminiscing about our communal gatherings, where laughter resonates alongside the rhythmic beats of our music. It is these moments that remind us of our common heritage and the bonds that tie us, no matter where we may be in the world.
