Greetings! My name is Asheena Razack, and I proudly call Bank Essequibo, located in the scenic Pomeroon-Supenaam region, my home. Growing up surrounded by the lush greenery and vibrant culture of Guyana has instilled in me a deep appreciation for our rich traditions, from the rhythmic sounds of our folk music to the flavors of our beloved dishes, like pepperpot and curry. Whether it’s a Sunday cook-up with family or a festive celebration during Mashramani, I cherish the moments that bring us together as a community.
As a resident of this beautiful country, I have witnessed the incredible resilience of the Guyanese people. Our diverse backgrounds blend to create a unique social fabric that is both welcoming and spirited.
