Greetings! My name is Asif Azad, and I proudly call 2 La Bagatelle Leguan in the beautiful Pomeroon-Supenaam region home. Growing up surrounded by the vibrant culture of Guyana has profoundly shaped my identity. From the rich flavors of our beloved pepper pot and cook-up rice to the lush landscapes dotted with the majestic Kaieteur Falls, I carry the essence of my homeland wherever I go. Many who visit our shores often remark, “Guyana not poor,” and it's true. Our wealth lies in the warmth of our people and the stunning natural beauty that surrounds us.
As a member of the Guyanese diaspora, I cherish the connections we maintain with our roots, and I often reflect on the rich experiences shared with family and friends.
